We are excited to invite you to our 44th Annual National Mathematics Teachers’ Conference and the 49th Prize Giving Ceremony. This year’s theme is: “Mathematics is the Hinge for all Careers.”

Conference Details:

• Date: Friday, 26th July 2024
• Venue: Yusuf Lule Central Teaching Facility, Makerere University Kampala
• Activities: The conference will include sessions to boost the career and professional development of pre-service and in-service Mathematics teachers. The Annual General Meeting (AGM) will also take place on the same day.
• Keynote Speaker: Dr. Kenny Sinobia, Academic Manager of African Institute for Mathematical Sciences Schools Enrichment Centre (AIMSSEC), Cape Town, South Africa.
• Contribution Fee: 35,000 UGX (covers lunch, stationery, and other conference expenses)

Prize Giving Ceremony Details:

• Date: Saturday, 27th July 2024
• Venue: Makerere University Rugby Ground
• Activities: The ceremony will start with quiz competitions for both primary and lower secondary education students.

We encourage all Mathematics teachers to participate in this year’s conference to share experiences and learn new techniques that enable us to become better Mathematics Educators.
